Welcome to the beautiful Adirondack mountains and our hardy dual-coated Icelandic sheep.
Originally brought by the Vikings to Iceland over 900 years ago,
they were then imported to the North American continent in 1985. They have a Canadian registry.
Icelandics are multipurpose. They are raised for meat, fleece and milk. They are seasonal breeders who usually twin. They can be horned or polled.
They are also known internationally for their "Lopi " yarn.
We have breed stock and quality felt products. Sometimes there are fleeces available for hand spinners.
